Year end is a season for celebration and catching up with friends and family with gratitude and love. Christmas is one of the more popular celebrations that people make globally. The more common reasons to celebrate Christmas include religion to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and social reason to catchup with friends and family.

There are a lot of fun ways to celebrate Christmas during this pandemic situation.  People come up with creative ways to ensure that they continue their yearly celebrations with fun and laughter, while adhering to the safety measures prescribed by their authorities.

Firstly, they can embrace the spirit of Christmas – to give and to spread one’s love by organising a virtual event for the less fortunate.  For example, they can make some Christmas cards and crafts for the less fortunate children from the children home and deliver to them on Christmas day.  On the day of Christmas, they can hold a virtual party with the children, organising games and singing Christmas songs and end the event with log cake cutting.

Secondly, they can hold virtual Christmas exercise sessions, doing workouts to the beat of Christmas songs.  After the Christmas workouts, they can have a post workout session over healthy Christmas snacks and smoothies.  They can even have gift exchange in a fun way.

Lastly, for those who still prefer the traditional and intimate Christmas celebration, they can plan the usual Christmas dinner in the comfort of their home with their close family members.  They will prepare their traditional big spread of food and after dinner, schedule a short one-hour virtual catchup over zoom parties with family and friends to sing Christmas songs and do log cake cutting virtually at their homes.

No matter which fun way one chooses to celebrate Christmas during this pandemic situation, be sure to stay positive and merry.
